Oberdorf Repository

Rarely does a property description combine such historical density, as is the case with the - now revitalized - industrial monument Magazin Oberdorf in Dornbirn. Where the Hämmerle fabric trade began its global triumph over 150 years ago, an exclusive, unique place to live and work was created. When F.M.Hämmerle Holding began the general renovation of the Magazin Oberdorf in 2004, the task of preserving the uniqueness of the historical ensemble was prevalent. At the same time a contemporary ambiance had to be created. Today, four buildings are grouped around a central square, whose diversity ensures the necessary liveliness. There are high-quality apartments, lofts and service areas. New, large openings for exposure guarantee exciting views. The facades were clad with high-quality copper sheeting.

The solid brick construction of the historic parts of the building was carried over into the newly constructed areas. The highest standards of quality and longevity determined the entire facility. A symbiosis of traditional and contemporary architecture was achieved and shows a sensitive approach to the buildings past.
